How My Dog Lost 5 Pounds in 5 Months

How My Dog Lost 5 Pounds in 5 Months

I have a Dachshund, you know, a wiener dog. They look like hot dogs. Because of their long backs, they are prone to back problems. So it’s important that they don’t get overweight. Five months ago the Vet said my dog was 29 pounds and needed to go down to 25 pounds. Now my dog weighs 24 pounds! He lost 5 pounds in 5 months. That’s great for a dog.

So what did I do differently to help my dog lose weight. No, I didn’t use hypnosis. Unfortunately, you can’t hypnotize a dogJ What changes did I do in my dog’s eating habits. Well, first I cut all his portions in half. He used to get 1 cup of dry dog food for breakfast and 1 cup of dry dog food and ¼ can of wet dog food mixed in for dinner. He used to get baby carrots for treats. I now cut all the baby carrots in half. I cut his breakfast to ½ cup of dry food and added some shredded wheat cereal in his breakfast. I cut his dinner to ½ cup of dry food with 1 tablespoon of pumpkin puree mixed in instead of the ¼ can of wet dog food. I didn’t want him to feel hungry so I now give him ½ a can of unsalted cut green beans before his dinner. I used to walk him for 1 lap around the block. Now we do 2 laps.

So what can we learn from this: To lose weight, cut your portions in half. Eat less. Add more fiber and vegetables to your diet to increase your metabolism and to not feel hungry. Exercise more.

Through hypnosis and by tapping into the power of your subconscious mind, you can do this. Now if I can just get my dog to eat slowerJ
